League Competition

Cambridgeshire Cricket Board runs a variety of leagues to ensure that there are opportunities for women and girls of all abilities to participate in cricket, at a level suitable for them. A list has been created below, showing each league and which clubs participate.

Girls` soft ball

  • U11, festival format: Sawston and Babraham, Thriplow, Wenden, Saffron Walden, Great Shelford, Royston, Downham Stow, March Town, Cambourne, City of Ely, Bottisham & Lode, Histon, and Chippenham

Girls` hard ball

  • U12, pairs: City of Cambridge, and Cambourne
  • U13, pairs: Great Shelford, Cambourne, Chippenham, Thriplow, City of Ely, Wenden, Saffron Walden, Little Shelford, and City of Cambridge
  • U15, T20: Thriplow, City of Cambridge, and Saffron Walden

Women`s soft ball

  • Festival Format, which is perfect for beginners or those who wish to play socially: March Town, Bottisham & Lode, City of Ely, Northstowe, and Sutton
  • T20, a little more competitive but still a great option for those learning the game: March Town, Sutton, Haverhill, City of Ely, and Chippenham

Women’s hard ball

  • T20, using standard cricket rules: City of Cambridge, Thriplow, Chippenham, Haverhill, Wenden, City of Ely, and March Town

Some of our clubs also enter national competitions run by the ECB

  • ECB Women’s Club T20 Cup 2024: City of Ely, March Town, and Thriplow
  • ECB Girls` U13 Club T20 Competition 2024: City of Cambridge, Saffron Walden, and Thriplow
  • ECB Girls` U15 Club T20 Competition 2024: Thriplow, Saffron Walden, and Cambridge
